A four week project to upgrade three theatres with whiterock wall cladding and new vinyl flooring to improve the hospital’s infection prevention.

The project also included works to upgrade some corridors and ancillary theatre rooms, as well as works to maintain and validate the various ventilation systems including PRDs (Pressure Relief Damper) into the theatres. 

Works were carried out over weekends to reduce the interference on the on-going hospital operations, with only one theatre being worked on each weekend.

After completion of the theatre refurbishment work, full validation was performed on each theatre’s ventilation system with full cleaning and surveys of the associated ductwork and AHUs, including some previously identified remedial work.
